The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s American Indian Environmental Office (AIEO) is conducting a first-ever review of the EPA Tribal Partnership Network (TPN) and is inviting Tribal Leaders, Tribal environmental professionals, and Tribal partnership groups to provide input on the future of EPA–Tribal collaboration.

The review is examining opportunities to strengthen communication, coordination, Tribal engagement, and collaboration across the National Tribal Caucus (NTC), Regional Tribal Operations Committees (RTOCs), and Tribal Partnership Groups (TPGs).

AIEO will host its second virtual informational and listening session on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 2:00–3:30 p.m. ET.

During the session, EPA will provide additional background on the review, answer questions, and receive Tribal feedback on:

  • What is working well within the Tribal Partnership Network;
  • The Network’s operations and structure;
  • Communication and coordination between EPA and Tribal partners; and
  • Opportunities to strengthen the Network and improve support for Tribal engagement.

All Tribal representatives are welcome to participate and provide feedback.
