The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and Portland General Electric Company (PGE) are soliciting proposals for projects that conserve, restore, or enhance the habitat of native anadromous fish species. The Salmon Habitat Support Fund will award approximately $120,000 in cost-reimbursable grants ranging from $10,000 – $50,000 to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Successful projects will demonstrate a clear and direct benefit to anadromous fish species or their habitat, exhibit a high likelihood of success, and use sustainable and scientifically rigorous approaches. Funds should be used for project implementation but incorporating communication, outreach, or education as a component of the project is encouraged. Priority will be given to projects occurring within communities where PGE operates or watersheds that are affected by PGE operations (specifically, the Willamette, Sandy, and Deschutes watersheds and communities therein) but projects elsewhere in Oregon are still encouraged to apply.
