The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute has launched a Climate Adaptation and Hazard Mitigation Certificate program to help emergency management professionals effectively navigate, plan for, and respond to the impacts of climate change. Tailored for State, Local, Tribal, and Territory professionals, the program provides foundational courses, electives, and practical application through a capstone project. Upon completion, participants will possess the knowledge, skills, and strategic perspectives necessary to integrate climate change adaptation principles into emergency management practices.
