EPA’s Contaminated Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) Lands Assistance Program has launched a new grant resources webpage to help applicants and recipients develop and manage cooperative agreements for assessment and cleanup of contaminated lands conveyed under ANCSA. EPA launched the Contaminated ANCSA Lands Assistance Program in 2023 to provide funding for assessment and remediation of legacy contaminated sites on conveyed ANCSA land. Other resources include:
- A story map of current efforts that may help entities develop a project.
- EPA’s Contaminated ANCSA Sites Inventory, a GIS-based map that allows users to interactively view information about contaminated ANCSA sites and to submit new sites for screening and further evaluation.
- Ken Andraschko, EPA’s ANCSA Program Coordinator, who can be reached at andraschko.ken@epa.gov.
