Most people don’t realize how much food they throw away every day. Everyone, including children and youth, needs to understand that food takes natural resources, energy, labor, and time to grow and consume, and that wasted food takes an environmental toll. EPA’s new web page, Educating Youth about Waste Food, includes resources to educate youth of all ages at home, in the classroom, and in youth groups.
