Every three years, the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) conducts a comprehensive review of state water quality standards (WQS) regulations at 18 AAC 70. This triennial review provides an opportunity for the public to engage with DEC on its priorities and commitments. State WQS are subject to EPA approval prior to implementation in state water pollution control programs.
