Coordinates all aspects of planning, development, organization and execution of the RTOC’s Tribal Leader’s Summit (TELS).

Reports to RTOC Coordinator.

Open Sept 21, 2017 until filled. Year round, salary. Grant funded position.

Each Spring, the Region 10 Tribal Operations Committee hosts a Tribal Environmental Leader’s Summit at a new location within our region (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington). This summit serves to bring together the voice of 271 Tribal leaders and 200-300 tribal environmental staff, along with the voices of leadership within the Region 10 and National Environmental Protection Agency. The goal is to openly exchange information, build relationships through honest communication, and strategize in building upon Indigenous environmental capacity in environmental management and protection.

Position 2:

RTOC Coordinator

RTOC Coordinator Full Job Description

Oversees all aspects of the planning, development, organization and execution of the RTOC meetings, coordination with EPA staff, outreach to Tribes and communication regarding the mission and work of the RTOC to Tribes within EPA Region 10.

Reports to RTOC Tribal Caucus Co-Chairs.

Open Sept. 21 until filled. Year round, salary. Grant funded position.

Duties and responsibilities cover a varied and extensive skill set in comprehensive communications including small group dynamics, non-profit operations, Indigenous ways of knowing, mass electronic communication, government agency operations, and multi-directional exchanges of information. The Coordinator is in constant collaboration and problem-solving with RTOC members, RTOC Policy Analyst, RTOC Grant Administrator, RTOC contractors, EPA officials, tribal elected officials, and experts in tribal environmental program areas.
